Leak shows: Godzilla and King Kong are coming to CoD Warzone on May 11th – we know that so far
So far there have been many indications that Call of Duty: Warzone is planning something with huge monsters in Season 3 / 2022. There have been many official teasers with clear indications. A leaked image now shows the two monsters Godzilla and King Kong over Caldera for the first time – Operation Monarch will therefore start on May 11th.
What happens in Season 3? Call of Duty: Warzone regularly releases new Live Seasons with fresh content, a new Battle Pass, and changes to the game. The new season starts on April 27th – all information is available here.
The really big hook for the new season is an event or a crossover with huge monsters – Godzilla and King Kong apparently devastate the island of Caldera.
So far there isn’t much concrete information. But thanks to a leaked picture, we now know that the event will probably start on May 11th. What else is known so far, you will learn in this article. As soon as there is new information, we will update the content.

When does the event start? Due to a leaked image, May 11, 2022 is currently the start date for the action with the mega monsters. We embed the picture on Twitter here:
What is known about the event? Call of Duty has not yet been able to look completely into the cards. However, there are already a few official teasers that offer a possible glimpse.
For example, a PR image shows parts of the caldera burning and something floating in the water moving towards the island.
It would therefore be possible to make significant map changes with the event on Caldera due to the devastation. Due to a bug in the player, players suspect that the volcano could suffer from the attack. The plane at the start of the match flies way too low.

There are still some bunkers/underground areas in Caldera that cannot be entered yet.
It is not yet possible to say for sure whether there will be map changes at the start of Season 3 or whether the possible adjustments will only come into play when the event starts. For that we first have to wait for the roadmap of the new season, which should be online soon.
With the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard, Warzone promised to create completely new possibilities for big events in the free Battle Royale with a revised engine.
At that time it was assumed that there were extensive adjustments to graphics and gameplay. The disappointment was palpable when the visible changes then turned out to be meager.
But apparently at least the part with the events seems to be coming true. Although it remains to be seen how the nasty giant monsters will affect the game.
