World Of WarCraft: Dragonflight () von

Colorful dragons in a high-fantasy setting: Blizzard announced the next World of Warcraft expansion, Dragonflight. There is a lot of information, a chic intro and an hour of video material.

Phew, one after the other: At the bottom you will find the so-called cinematic trailer, which was able to record one and a half million views on YouTube in less than two days – there it is about powerful stone guardians, a world on the brink and, of course, dragons. Appropriately, Blizzard has released a one-hour (!) Video in which numerous WoW developers discuss the expansion and the innovations associated with it.

For all those who have less time, here is the essential information (really roughly) summarized:

  • World of Warcraft: Dragonflight doesn’t have a specific date yet, but it’s likely to launch early next year
  • before that starts the beta, for which you sign up here can already make a note of
  • the new max level will be 70 (which is the expected 10 more than in Shadowlands)
  • it goes into a new area, the Dragon Isles, with its four areas: the wild coast of awakening, the vast plains of Ohn’ahra, the azure mountains and the ancient Thaldraszus
  • Interface/HUD undergoing a (long overdue) overhaul
  • Dragon riding is possible, your lizard will learn new flight maneuvers in the process
  • Talent system (with two talent trees) and professions (specialization system) will be revised
  • there is a fresh class-race combo: the Dracthyr Callers (whereby the Callers are the class only usable by the Dracthyr race)
  • Cosmetic adjustments to the Dracthyr are possible
  • New Class Specializations: Ranged (Devastation) or Healer (Conservation)
