New world record in Minecraft - Co-op group shows insane 2-minute run to the end

A group of 5 players completed Minecraft in just under 2 minutes. They set a world record in one category. In the video they show who had which task.

What is that record? The big world of Minecraft offers speed run records for various categories. Solo, in a group, with glitches, without glitches, with random or specific worlds. Each one is about beating the game as quickly as possible.

The latest world record from YouTuber M8use and his colleagues is set in the co-op category with no glitches. They beat second place by more than a minute.

Clear assignment of tasks at the world record

What is the record exactly? The group managed a time of 1 minute and 56 seconds in the Cooperative Any% glitchless set seed 1.16.100+ category. Which means she

  • played in co-op,
  • did not finish the game completely (with all content) – but achieved the main goal,
  • didn’t use glitches
  • chose a fixed seed
  • set the version category 1.16.100+

The team in second place took 4 minutes and 14 seconds. You can check the record overview Speedrun.com.

This is how it went: The YouTuber M8use has put together a five-person team that brings together other well-known representatives of the speedrun scene with Khalooody, Guccigang, Kobra and IanG. The video shows exactly how the world record was set.

The first five minutes deal with the team formation and the roles of the individual people. So the run is clearly timed for every participant. Since you know the seed, i.e. the generated Minecraft world, the players know exactly where to find what.

The run in the video starts at about 5:10 minutes. You see the view of four of the five in a split screen. If you want to see exactly what the tasks of each person look like, we recommend that you only focus on one person’s screen when watching. It all happens very quickly.
