How to properly use jewels in Lost Ark: unlock, fuse, and equip

Gems can be used to enhance your abilities in Lost Ark. We at MeinMMO will show you how it works.

What are jewels? Jewels are used to boost your attacks. There are two different types:

• The Jewel of Distant Billows reduces the cooldown of a random ability by up to 20%

• Jewel of the Blue Sky increases the damage of the ability by up to 40%

The effect increases with each gem level. Overall, you can upgrade the jewels to a maximum of level 9.

How do I unlock them? You must have reached level 50 and reached the Tier 2 area of ​​Lost Ark, i.e. reached item level 802.

Once you’ve quested your way through Yorn and completed The Closing Report quest, the jewels come into play. You then drop them, for example, in the chaos dungeon and later in the boss frenzy.

Wie does the merging work? Next to the button for dismantling equipment in the inventory, you will now find another one that has a jewel on it. Clicking on it will open a window to fuse jewels.

You always need three pieces to generate one of the next level. Three level 1 jewels become one level 2 jewel. It doesn’t matter if you use Far Wave Jewels or Blue Sky Jewels. You can even set jewels to fuse themselves at certain levels.

By the way, merging cannot fail.

How can I equip them? Right-click to equip the gem. You can equip a total of 11 pieces. It is important to know, however, that they do not stack. So you can only select one jewel per attack. So to get 40% more damage you need one at max level and not several with a damage increase.

If you don’t like the bonus on your jewel, you can go to a jeweler in town and reroll the effect. This costs you more silver with each gem level.
