An in-house Exynos processor, which often calculates a little less quickly than the current flagship Snapdragon chip from Qualcomm, ensures the performance in Europe. There’s still one catch: the Galaxy S cell phones are often content with an average battery life, with the exception of the respective “Ultra” top model.

Samsung has also been building foldable smartphones for several years – initially under the brand name “Fold”, the devices are now sold by the Koreans under the model name “Galaxy Z”. Samsung currently has two models with different folding mechanisms on offer: the compact one Galaxy Z Flip 3which brings the clamshell into the modern age, and the larger Galaxy Z Fold 3which turns from a smartphone into a tablet.
Samsung Galaxy M: The entry-level series with a huge battery

After discontinuing the entry-level Galaxy J series, Samsung decided on a new one: the M series. These budget phones mimic the design of the flagship S Series, but offer lower performance and features.
But they have an ace up their sleeve: huge batteries. The Galaxy M53 5G and Galaxy M33 5G, for example, have 5,000 milliamp batteries. For comparison: Most flagship smartphones offer batteries with 4,000 to 5,000 milliamps.
The large battery, together with the economical processors, ensures an enormous runtime. Even the Galaxy M cell phones already offer a high-contrast AMOLED display – the Galaxy M53 5G even with 120 Hertz for smooth scrolling through apps and websites.

The smartphones of the Galaxy J series are aimed at less demanding smartphone prospects. In their last few years, they offered a metal body and a high-quality AMOLED display. The battery life was usually just as convincing. However, buyers had to make compromises in terms of equipment and performance. The starting price of the Galaxy J smartphones was also often quite high compared to similarly strong competitors from companies such as Huawei and Honor.
Samsung Galaxy Note: The one with the pen

The main feature of the Galaxy Note series was its support for an active stylus, which Samsung calls the “S-Pen”. The pen can be pulled out of the smartphone and is used to make notes and drawings on the large AMOLED display.
The Galaxy Note smartphones were also always eagerly awaited because of their technology, because Samsung was happy to incorporate the latest high-end features into the Note devices. The battery life often exceeded that of the S-class. But the Galaxy Note smartphones were among the most expensive Android phones ever. With the release of the Galaxy S22 Ultra including S-Pen in spring 2022, however, the Note series was discontinued.

In fact, there were other smartphone series from Samsung, but their representatives were not available in Germany. The Galaxy C series was between the A and S series and convinced with high-quality workmanship and comprehensive equipment, whereby the performance lagged behind the S flagships. The Galaxy E Series sat between the J and A Series. There have been no new models in the C and E series for several years.

Samsung launched other series of smartphones abroad. The Galaxy Max smartphones were located between the entry-level and mid-range, with a large display not being one of their distinguishing features, although the name suggests it. Samsung called “Prime” improved models of its entry-level series, while the “Pro” models represented upgrades from higher-class smartphones. Meanwhile, the Galaxy On models belonged to the upper middle class. Occasionally, an offshoot of this series also strayed to Germany.
