A small hotfix patch for Elden Ring brings a few small adjustments. But the most important concerns Malenia. The hardest boss in the game is no longer almost invincible. MyMMO tells you more.
Patch 1.04 of Elden Ring improved some things a lot and removed some annoyances from the game. However, there was one thing that was probably not intended.
Malenia is considered one of the hardest bosses in Souls history, also because she can heal herself with hits. But with the patch, she also healed herself if she didn’t catch you with her attacks. This made her almost invincible.

Elden Ring Patch 1.04.1 – All patch notes in German
What does the new patch bring? Hotfix patch 1.04.1 undoes this unwanted buff for Malenia. This means that Miquella’s blade is still very difficult, but no longer unfair.
But there are also other changes in the game apart from Malenia. We list them here for you:
- Fixed a bug that corrected the effect duration of Cerulean Mystery Tear down
- Fixed an issue with Malenia, Blade of Miquella where her HP would not heal properly in online multiplayer
- Fixed a bug that caused some bosses to die at unintended times
- Fixed a bug that caused the last boss in the game to not work properly under certain circumstances
- Fixed some text errors
The patch is available now on all platforms and is only a few megabytes in size – 20.8 MB on Steam.
