Horizon Forbidden West: A single arrow can do almost 40,000 damage

In Horizon Forbidden West you can kill your opponents in many different ways. The most elegant way to do this is probably with just a single, well-placed shot from your sniper bow. A fan now shows in an impressive way how many damage points can be obtained from a single arrow. With the right modifiers and preparation, it can deal 39,518 damage at once. All in all, even more would be possible, but the game throws a spanner in the works for us.

You can’t do more damage in Horizon Forbidden West at the moment

That’s what it’s about: As much damage as possible with just one shot. The value of 39,518 is most likely the current record of what can be done with a single dart. You can see how it was done and what it looks like in this video:

How was this achieved? With a lot of preparation. As you can easily see, a lot comes together here: Aloy himself has so little life energy that a “low health” damage bonus takes effect. In addition, of course, there is the frost bonus that was previously given to the opponent and also the headshot bonus. According to the creator of the video, human opponents have the highest weak spot bonus.

In comparison, the 9,000 damage from this bow build looks downright pathetic (but it works against dinos too):
