How to unlock Gold Mario in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

If you want to cover Mario completely in gold, you have to show all your driving skills in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. That means you have to unlock Gold Mario win three stars in all cups of the 200 cc displacement classso grab the gold trophy by finishing 1st in all races.

It’s not that easy, though, as it’s one of the most difficult races of all. The fastest karts have to be mastered and the meanest opponents have to be defeated.

To make things easier, here are a few tips:

• Learn the routes inside and out. Practice particularly difficult sections and memorize the abbreviations.
• Use Turbo Start to give yourself an immediate advantage. To do this, press and hold the accelerator button shortly after the “2” lights up in the start countdown.
• Take advantage of your opponents’ slipstream.
