What else is known? Officially, very little is known about MW2. The studio “Infinity Ward” is responsible for the development and has already confirmed that it is a sequel to CoD MW from 2019.

There is also a story campaign and a multiplayer mode. Basically, that was the official information.

What do leaks suspect? However, the leak machinery has been running at full speed for months and information is leaking out from time to time. We list the most important key data for you here:

  • It will probably be the last CoD on the old consoles (PS4, Xbox One)
  • The new CoD comes maybe a month earlier than usual (already in October)

  • The multiplayer should probably benefit from many map remakes
  • With CoD 2023 likely to be cancelled, CoD MW2 will be the biggest title in the shooter series to date

When is the full reveal coming? Leaks are currently expecting a reveal on May 30, 2022. CoD MW 2019 was also presented on that day. With the new teaser, the date has now become much more likely.

Very little is known about the new Call of Duty 2022. But many players have high expectations of the shooter, since the last premium titles, Vanguard and Cold War, did not have the appeal of the most successful CoD title to date: CoD MW 2019.
