Destiny 2 Leak Reveals Exo Weapon That Used To Dismantle Everything In PvP

Destiny 2 is a popular game worldwide and so the game developer is also providing information about its planned changes in other languages. But apparently a new exotic weapon for the upcoming Season 17 has now accidentally become known. She once dismantled everything in Destiny 1’s PvP. MeinMMO tells you which weapon it is and why it could also mean the return of the Iron Lords.

Bungie had a lot to cover last week and that’s why the weekly blog article was almost 9000 words. To make it even more exciting, the developer also named an unknown weapon that should be coming into the game soon. However, her name was only mentioned in the text as [VERTRAULICH] called.

The keepers puzzled over what weapon it might be. But only the sharp-eyed detectives from the Destiny 2 RaidSecrets Reddit actually found an uncensored version of the This Week at Bungie Blogs.

  • Apparently in the Japanese article the name of the weapon was not censored.
  • After the translation, the English word “Trespasser” was revealed there.
In Japanese, the weapon’s name was not censored.

Which weapon is it? “Trespasser” is an iconic exo-pistol with a 90 rate of fire from Destiny 1 and was called “Unbefugter” in the German game. If the leak is true, she would return in Season 17. Note, however, that this is a leak and the information is not officially confirmed.

Anyway, in Destiny 1, after one change, this exotic pistol was one of the best and most popular weapons in PvP. It even took third place in Special Weapons for the most kills in Elimination. And in PvE, too, when Arc Ignite was active, you could shred through the enemy masses with casual salvos.

This is what the weapon once looked like in Destiny 1.

Incidentally, back then, the exotic did arc damage and had three exotic advantages:

  • Relentless Pursuer: Kills allow better movement tracking for a short time
  • Be the danger: Fires volleys of bullets with deadly precision – Pull the trigger once and fire off three shots.
  • Unrepentant Exo-Perk: Reloading after a kill causes a longer super salvo – the salvo consists of six shots

So, will the Iron Lords awake again soon?

This particular exo-pistol is also a Destiny 1 weapon originally introduced in the Rise of Iron expansion. The name Shiro-4 appears in the spell under the weapon name. He was the then NPC trader in the Iron Temple and a good friend of Cayde-6.

This is Shiro-4: The Exo Shiro-4 was a well-known NPC trader in Destiny 1 and distributed bounties to players in the Iron Temple. During the SIVA Crisis (then the Destiny 1 campaign), Shiro-4 aided Lord Saladin Forge and Cayde-6 by providing vital information to the Guardians on the battlefield. Shiro-4 was once part of the Fireteam, which consisted of the late leader of the Jaeger Vanguard Andal Brask and Cayde-6. He was also present at Cayde-6’s funeral and continues to conduct scouting missions for the Vanguard to this day. Therefore, some players see him as the best option to succeed Cayde-6.
Will Cayde’s friend Shiro-4 return to the Tower soon with this?

Of the Player “EnriqueRdz” has therefore expressed the assumption that Destiny 2 in 2022 and the upcoming Season 17 may be moving towards a new season of Iron Lords. Basically what the Pastebin leak already indicated.

Iron Banner rework next season, Solar 3.0 (probably) next element, then the “Trespasser” which belongs to Shiro-4. I have my fingers crossed and hope with all my heart that next season will be Iron Lords themed and Shiro will come back to become the next Hunter Vanguard and Exo Rep in the Tower.

The player “Wonderusechelon” also recognized the connection and wrote about it on reddit:

Please. Every season since Forsaken I’ve literally wondered where the heck Shiro is. He’s the perfect Hunter Vanguard material. Although we all know that [die Stelle] will probably go to crow as things go.

What does Bungie say about the Japanese weapons leak? The new community manager “Hippy” commented on the releases at 4 a.m. on Twitter. She shared that not only did she get a lot of messages and screenshots about the Japanese leak, but she was also confused about it.

The twab hasn’t even been sent to our localization team yet, so it’s unclear to me where the “Japanese twab leak” is coming from. That does not exist. […]

writes Bungie’s community manager on twitter

The degenerated on Twitter Discussion with the Guardians I will go into more detail on that, because there have probably been a number of misunderstandings. Meanwhile, Bungie corrected the version of the Japanese This Week at Bungie blog so that the weapon’s name is now there no longer visible is.

What do you think of this revelation? Do you like this exotic pistol and do you think the Iron Lords will return with it really soon? Or are the Japanese wrong and the leak is just a weird coincidence of a wrong translation? Let us know your point of view in the comments.
