The PlayStation Store has launched the big Golden Week Sale. In this you can get hundreds of PS4 or PS5 games cheaper until May 11th, which come from Japan or are at least somehow connected to Japan. Shadow Warrior 3 – test video for the shooter spectacle
The first person shooter Shadow Warrior 3, which was only released at the beginning of March, is already 40 percent cheaper. Unlike most of the other games on sale, it’s not from Japan, but it does have a Japan setting. We play Lo Wang, already known from the predecessors, who once again has to save the world from being overrun by the demonic hordes. The biggest threat this time comes from an ancient dragon that Wang accidentally freed himself. As always, Shadow Warrior is characterized in the third part by very fast-paced shooter gameplay, creative enemy design and weird humor. The playing time is pretty short though.

NieR Replicant is a heavily remastered remake of the first NieR originally released for PS3. The remake not only offers prettier graphics, but also a greatly improved combat system on par with the successor NieR Automata and a new, fourth ending. Resident Evil: Village Review Video – Is it the hit we were hoping for?

Code Vein is an action role-playing game in which we’ll play a vampire in a post-apocalyptic world. The graphic style, which combines the typical anime look with gothic elements, is very atmospheric. However, the game world could have used a little more attention to detail. The gameplay, reminiscent of Dark Souls, is convincing. Although this is focused on melee combat, we can also use guns and spells. We always go into battle in pairs. If we don’t want to play in online co-op, the role of companion will be taken over by the AI. The Deluxe Edition includes the Season Pass and other additional in-game items.

The Evil Within 2 – Test video for the horror hit
The horror game The Evil Within 2 is not only much more accessible than the sometimes frustratingly hard first part, but also much more varied. Sometimes we fight against dozens of undead in open areas, sometimes we are hunted in linear levels by overpowering enemies. There are surreal, nightmarish sections as well as quiet moments in haunted environments where the next horror could be lurking around every corner. This makes The Evil Within 2 almost like a best of the horror genre.
