However, these are not exactly cheap with prices starting at 100 US dollars. For users who don’t necessarily want to buy a battery press for a single repair, Apple has an interesting alternative.

For $49, customers can borrow a tool kit specially designed for repairs from Apple. The set is shipped free of charge and after the repair it is simply sent back to Apple. Replaced parts can also be sent back to Apple for recycling. Apple even gives a credit note for some parts.
