With an illuminated keyboard, an accurate trackpad and a fingerprint sensor for unlocking, as well as USB-C (in the Intel version with Thunderbolt 4), two USB-A and HDMI, the equipment leaves nothing to be desired. The only small downer is the built-in webcam, which only offers a resolution of 720p.

An Intel Core i5 is used as the processor, which guarantees a high working speed. When it comes to RAM, we definitely recommend 8 GB and no less. There are drawbacks for the small SSD hard drive with just 128 GB and the missing keyboard light. Plus points are the great typing feel, the very good webcam and the fingerprint sensor for unlocking.

If you’re looking for a laptop in the popular 15-inch segment, this is it Matebook D15 from Huawei a recommendation. The models score with a slim and high-quality aluminum chassis and a 15.6-inch display with Full HD resolution. Only the brightness of the screen is not too high at 250 nits, so the Matebook D15 is unsuitable for outdoor use.
Depending on customer requirements, the Matebook D15 is available with either an Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 processor. In both cases, a brisk pace of work is guaranteed. Huawei also offers 8 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD in this price range. In terms of connections, the Matebook has three USB-A, one USB-C and HDMI and a headphone connection, and the touchpad and keyboard are also convincing. It is a pity, however, that the latter does not offer any lighting.
HP 17: A 17-inch notebook under 700 euros
The HP 17 is particularly large at 17.3 inches.

If you need it one size larger, you will HP 17 find what you are looking for. The 17.3-inch notebook is the largest device in our comparison list. The reason for buying this is of course the display, which has a Full HD resolution but only offers a peak brightness of 250 nits for indoor use.
Current Intel Core i5 processors of the 11th generation also speak in favor of the device for a high working speed and up to 16 GB of RAM. The manufacturer uses SSDs with up to 512 GB for data storage in this price range. The device comes with important standard connections such as USB-A, USB-C and HDMI. Unfortunately, you have to make do with a plastic case for the case and unfortunately, despite the size, there is also no SD card reader.
Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5: A Windows convertible under 700 euros

Touchscreen devices are rather rare in the price range up to 700 euros. With the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5, there is still a recommendable model. The device offers a 14-inch display that can be folded back 350 degrees on its hinge. In this way, the notebook can also be used as a tablet. In terms of brightness, however, the screen is at the lower end of the scale at just 250 nits. This is sufficient for moderately lit interiors.
A slightly older AMD Ryzen 5 4500U is installed as the processor, but it still offers a good working speed. 8 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD complete the package. The IdeaPad Flex 5 is surprisingly versatile on the connection front. In addition to USB-A and USB-C, there is also an HDMI port and even an SD card reader. Slight compromises only have to be made in the case processing. Here, other devices in our comparison list are of significantly higher quality.

If it doesn’t necessarily have to be a Windows computer, that is too Acer Chromebook Spin 13 worth recommending. The Chromebook runs on Google’s slim Chrome OS operating system and is fully optimized for touchscreen inputs. The 13.5-inch display has a resolution of 2,256 x 1,504 pixels and is therefore sharper than most other devices in this price range. Acer also offers a 3:2 format. The noble metal housing of the laptop is also convincing.
The Chromebook Spin 13 is powered by an Intel Core i3 with 8 GB of RAM, but unfortunately only 128 GB of SSD data storage. The device does not need to hide itself on the connection front. In addition to USB-A and USB-C ports, there is also an HDMI output and even a slot for microSD cards. The backlit keyboard and the good trackpad round off the overall package.
