CoD Warzone: A guy hires a Mexican band to celebrate his every win

May 5th is a holiday for some Mexicans – the “Cinco de Mayo”. A streamer took this as an opportunity to put a mariachi band in the living room and celebrate every victory in a special way.

A victory in the free Battle Royale CoD Warzone is still something special for many players. However, for streamers who are very into the game, it’s almost routine.

However, the Facebook streamer “Rexzilla” still celebrates his regular victories and has come up with something crazy for “Cinco de Mayo”: a mariachi band in the living room.

Mariachi band plays to victory at Cinco de Mayo

How does it look? Rexzilla shared a clip of the action on Twitter:

After a sweaty victory on the small map Rebirth Island, he encourages the band to play. The well-known song “La Bamba” goes straight to the ear and creates a nice atmosphere after the win.

However, Rex wasn’t actually the first Warzone streamer to add some Mexican flair after a win. On March 27, “HunterTV” celebrated its success with a mariachi band:

What is celebrated on May 5th? The day is actually not a national holiday in Mexico. Only in the city of Puebla and the surrounding area are there parades and larger festivals on the occasion (via history.com).

In the US, the festival is more popular and is perceived as a day to honor Mexican traditions.

The Cinco de Mayo goes back to a French attack on the city of Puebla in the 19th century. A Mexican army was able to stop the attack and this resulted in May 5th becoming a public holiday in the region.

We want to know what you think of such actions. What band would you put in your living room to celebrate a win? Please leave us a comment.
