The Summer Game Fest should again have one or two surprises in store this year aka 2022.

Summer, sun, video games: The Summer Game Fest 2022 has an appointment. You should definitely mark it in bold in your calendar, because there will probably be a lot coming up again this year. Last year, among other things, gameplay from Elden Ring was shown for the first time. Accordingly, a decent fireworks display should also be set off in 2022.

The Summer Game Fest 2022 has a date

Every year again: In the meantime, the Summer Game Fest has developed into a real institution and attracts a great deal of attention every year. Unsurprisingly, the 2022 show hosted by and starring host Geoff Keighley will once again be taking place in the summer. More precisely:

  • On June 9, 2022 at 8 p.m

The Summer Game Fest Live show is sure to be packed with announcements, world premieres, reveals and gameplay presentations again this year. The event will be held in Los Angeles in front of a live audience, but of course it can also be viewed live.

People in the US, Canada, or the UK even get a chance to watch the spectacle live at the IMAX theater (just like the Game Awards later):

Directly after the Summer Game Fest live show there is also the Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest Edition. It’s all about the slightly smaller titles here. In recent years, Death’s Door, TOEM, Unpacking, Psychonauts 2 and Disco Elysium have been presented at Day of the Devs.

The 2021 Summer Game Fest Live Show featured the Elden Ring gameplay debut, and announced Tiny Tina’s Wonderland and Death Stranding: Director’s Cut. If you’re in the mood for new announcements and an exciting show, you shouldn’t miss it in 2022 either. There may be new gameplay for Zelda BotW 2 or God of War 2: Ragnarök!

Which titles would you like to see at this year’s live show?
