Gotham Knights: New gameplay features Nightwing and Red Hood

Gotham Knights (Action-Adventure) von Warner Bros.

Coming October 25th to Consoles & PC, here’s the first look at the playable character duo set to bring law and order to the upcoming action game Gotham Knights.

Slip into the skin of Red Hood, Batgirl, Nightwing or Robin and avenge the death of your great role model. Of course you are there, as in the extremely entertaining Batman games Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight, back in the dark alleys of Gotham and give the rabble a good beating on the bell. On request also in online co-op for up to two players at the same time.

The nearly fifteen minute gameplay introduction (see video below) fully showcases the two heroes’ different fighting techniques and their locomotion in the open world, from Nightwing’s uniquely acrobatic fighting style and air glider to Red Hood’s dual weapon use and powerful jumping skills.

An essential piece of information that the developers have unfortunately not yet been able to elicit is the question of the storage system: because if the progress is only saved on the host, co-op friends will certainly give this mode a wide berth. But I’ll keep my fingers crossed that enough thought has been given and progress in the story naturally eats up a memory block for all participating superheroes.

Starting today, Gotham Knights is available to pre-order physically in stores or digitally on PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Steam and the Epic Games Store. The Gotham Knights Standard Edition is available digitally and boxed for $74.99. The Gotham Knights Deluxe Edition is priced at $94.99 digital and boxed and includes the base game plus the Visionary Pack downloadable content featuring exclusive gear, cosmetic items, the “Of-the-Future” suit style from the Batman of the Future animated series, and some more.

The limited, physical Gotham Knights Collector’s Edition costs a whopping 299.99 euros. It includes the Deluxe Edition, the collectible augmented reality pin, a 16-page media book, an exclusive map of Gotham City and a diorama with four character statues. Additionally, with every pre-order, players will receive the 233 Kustom Batcycle skin, based on the vehicle’s first appearance in DC Detective Comic #233.
