It’s all about this: PlayStation Direct is the Sony PlayStation store. This has existed in Germany since the end of last year. You can buy the PlayStation 5 there directly from the manufacturer, without intermediaries. However, you have to meet certain requirements.

These are the requirements:

• You must be of legal age.
• You need a place of residence in Germany.
• You need a PlayStation Network account (which all PS4 and PS5 users have).
• You must have expressed your interest to PlayStation. For that you have to register with PlayStation and indicate under “Notifications” that you may be informed by e-mail. Otherwise, Sony is not allowed to send you an invite.
• You are only entitled to buy if you received an email on Sunday. This will contain the link to purchase your console through the PS Direct shop. No email received? Check the spam folder in case it ended up there.

Be careful: you have to be quick! The sale starts at 10:30 a.m. today. You should definitely log in on time, because we only sell while stocks last. Games Economy reports that it may well be that the sale ends after 15 to 20 minutes and that you also need a Visa or Master Card for payment.
