Lost Ark: Destroyer official class preview and leveling tips
Almost a week ago, developers Smilegate and publisher Amazon Games revealed in detail which ones new content awaits us in the May update of Lost Ark. For example, the Legion Raid Valtan, the Deskaluda Guardian Raid, the Trial Guardian Raids, Guild Activities, the Wildwing Island or the new Destroyer Warrior class.
Official preview of the destroyer
A few days ago, the official Lost Ark website was all about this destroyer published preview articles. In the following we have summarized the most important findings for you.
Gravity Cores and Gravity Release
Destroyer skills are divided into two categories: concentration skills (blue) and Gravity Release Skills (Purple).
- If the concentration skill is used successfully in combat, the destroyer can charge up to three gravity cores.
- The Gravity Release skills consume any Gravity Cores you have charged to create a shield and greatly increase the damage of this attack.
- Using a core grants a 10 percent damage bonus to the Gravity Release skill used and 10 percent of max HP as a temporary shield.
- Two Gravity Cores grant a 25 percent damage bonus to the skill and 20 percent of maximum HP as a shield.
- Using all three Gravity Cores grants a 45 percent damage increase for the skill and 30 percent of max HP as a shield.

Identity Skill: Hypergravity Mode
You activate hypergravity mode by pressing [Z], after charging your Gravity Gauge (independent of Gravity Cores) in combat. When Hypergravity Mode is activated, your opponents’ movement speed and attack speed will slow down, you will gain shields, and you will become immune to debuffs, knockdowns, thrusts, and other negative effects.
Warning: During hypergravity you lose access to most skills. However, the standard or “auto” attack is greatly improved to deal more damage, and you can also use a new ability: Gravitational Vortex. When you use this ability, you slam the hammer down and deal damage, causing gravitational energy to explode in front of you, dealing even more damage and attracting enemies in a 6 yard radius. With [X] cancel the process and return to your normal abilities.
The Engravings of the Destroyer
Like all advanced classes in Lost Ark (buy now €19.99) the Destroyer also has two class-specific engravings, each with its own playstyle.
- gravity training: During combat, the Gravity Gauge regenerates 1 to 2 percent per 1 second Standard Attack and Gravity Vortex Crit Chance +10 to 30 percent and +4 to 20 percent attack damage on enemies in Hypergravity mode.
- Wrathhammer: When using the Gravity Release skill: Crit Chance +3 to 5 percent and Crit Damage +5 to 15 percent based on the number of cores used.
Destroyer Skills
The Destroyer has a variety of skills. Below we look at the powerful awakening skills.
- Terra Fracture: Pound the ground in front of you, dealing damage as pure gravitational energy tumbles out of the sky. The ground cracks, creating a gravitational field. All enemies in this space are knocked down. Swing your hammer upwards to create antigravity and deal damage. All enemies within range are catapulted into the air. Concentrate your energy, leaping and smashing enemies into the ground unpointed, dealing increased damage. This skill increases the gravity gauge by 100 percent.
- Big Bang: Gathers gravitational energy and detonates it, damaging enemies in a 3.2 meter radius and knocking them back. Reduces damage taken by 50 percent and grants immunity to debuffs, knocks, and reduced movement speed. Ignores collisions with normal enemies while gathering energy. You can move while collecting gravitational energy. Increases damage and blast radius up to 8 meters based on how long you gather energy.
Level tips from Amazon Games
Do you want to add the destroyer to your rest of the roster from May 19, 2022? There are a few progression paths you can take. If you haven’t used them yet, there are currently two progression events that are only available for a limited time:
- The “Express Mission” event, which can be activated for a character to enable faster reinforcement through Class 1 and 2, and special event missions that grant progression materials, battle items, and more as completion rewards.
- A Feiton power passwho immediately unlocks another character at the end of the Feiton storyline (item level 960).
In addition to the limited-time events, every player has to start two Vern power passes obtain. You can also use the “Knowledge Transfer” function in your Stronghold to bring a new alternate character through already completed continent stories. However, this will cost you some gold pieces.
