Modding querbeet in pictures: The handicrafts of the community - memory

Today we would like to remind you of the KillerPfote handicraft thread, in which pictures of handicrafts with and without PC reference can be presented, from self-made lamps to hardware docks to table fountains. The latest addition is a hi-fi Bluetooth receiver that D_Donsen repaired after a defect and transplanted it into a new housing.

Update from 09/17: Wooden iPhone dock and skull lamp
Since it has been lost in the life of the forums, we would like to remind you of the handicraft thread. Since the last presentation at this point, there have been two handicrafts: SpotlightXFX has built an iPhone dock out of wood. The finish is a bit rough, but the model is intended for outdoor use anyway. KillerPfote has played with RGB LEDs and made a skull lamp that is flexible in terms of colour. The LEDs are positioned between two panes of frosted glass so that the LEDs do not dazzle. There is more information in the handicraft thread, where you can also present your own projects: CRAFT THREAD (not PC)

Update from March 1st: Colorful LED ceiling light, wooden chest and illuminated creeper
SPIRITus-96 has built a new version of its RGB LED light that can be mounted on the ceiling and paint a room in a wide variety of colours. in the electronics thread the community member has also published pictures of the control board. The new version of the lamp not only offers more LEDs and optimized control, but also switches on or off automatically, depending on how bright it is in the room. In the handicraft thread there is also a wooden chest made of 20 millimeter thick lime wood that was built with the help of a hand-held circular saw and a router. It comes from affli, whose casemod The Orange Lian LI Thing is one of the most popular diaries on the forum. Since the last update of this article, Minecraft fan KillerPfote has added some pictures of the production of his lamp in the Creeper design and is certainly happy if you visit the craft thread he started or even present your own projects there: CRAFT THREAD (not PC)

Update from 08/14: LED light, party column, creeper and plane
PrincePaul has meanwhile completed his illuminated party column and uploaded not only pictures but also a video that is shown in the craft thread can be viewed. The RGB LED light from SPIRITus-96 also bathes the surroundings in colorful light, but of course it cannot be compared to the party column due to its ceiling mounting. The 0815klimshuck, which is a self-construction of the club of which the hobbyist is a member, takes you high. KillerPfote made a Creeper metal mold that should be of particular interest to Minecraft fans.

Update from 07/18: Repurposed herb spiral and Buddha fountain
MTZombie has been pretty busy presenting his handicrafts and presents a herb spiral in the thread that has been converted into an indoor fountain. In addition, the community member has constructed a second fountain, which, with lighting, a transparent back, colorful stones and a centrally placed Buddha figure, is unlikely to be found anywhere else in this form. But that’s not all: The technically talented user has presented other illuminated signs – including one that reads a prayer from a Hellsing anime. The capital letters are 10 millimeters high, the small letters only 5 to 6 millimeters. Here is the handicraft thread in the PC Games Hardware Extreme forum: CRAFT THREAD (not PC)

Update from July 4th: colorful illuminated logos, party column and USB baby
There are all sorts of interesting things to marvel at in the handicraft thread: Community member MTZombie has created a large number of illuminated signs by turning logos into acrylic glass and illuminating them. The frames of the signs are made of wood and partially have an aluminum cover. PrincePaul is working on a 1.4 meter high party column which, thanks to LED spotlights, is intended to create a good atmosphere at parties. From fkress comes what the modder calls a USB baby and the thread creator KillerPfote has uploaded pictures showing his homemade Skyrim keychain in action: On a forklift! Also have you made something that you would like to show the PCGHX community? Then off to the forum: CRAFT THREAD (not PC)

Original article:
An interesting thread for all kinds of handicrafts was opened by KillerPfote in 2010 and recently updated. The projects presented are not about casemods/casecons, but about PC-related topics – from the gaming area. Among other things, KillerPfote shows how a keychain with a Skyrim motif is made for the ignition key. There’s also a Skyrim-themed DIY LED lamp, a Duke Nukem memory lamp, and furniture for the Logitech Momo on display. What you can build from a type case is also shown in the thread.

The most exciting pictures from the mini diaries can be found in the gallery below. If you want to know more about the topic or want to present a corresponding project yourself, it is best to use the direct link to the forum CRAFT THREAD (not PC). Have fun with the following pictures in the gallery.
