Pokémon GO: Don’t miss the date for Alola research – otherwise the last one will cost money

In Pokémon GO, the “Alola Season” is currently underway with several special researches. You should complete them in time to secure a bonus.

This research is about: The “Alola season” has been running since the beginning of March. This brought four special researches over the course of the last few weeks. If you open your game now, you should already see all four – and possibly already completed them.

In theory, you have unlimited time to complete these tasks. However, you should hurry up a bit. More precisely: You should have completed all four by June 1st.

Bonus research is available from May 25th

Why you should be done soon: If you complete all four researches by June 1st, 2022, you will unlock a bonus research for free: The “Special research for the end of the season”.

In principle, it is even available from May 25th and can be picked up until June 1st – trainers in the Pokémon GO subreddit also point this out (via reddit).

So if you have already finished the remaining research by May 25, you can start directly with the fifth research. It is not yet known what the research will bring.

What if I fail the research? You can get the final research even if you don’t complete the four remaining researches. But you have to get a ticket in the in-game shop, which costs just under 5 euros. Alternatively, you can skip the 5th research.

Accordingly, it is worth doing the 4 researches beforehand.

Is the research difficult? Basically, all four researches are quite easy to complete and sometimes overlap. In the current Poni research you have to fight against Team Rocket, among other things. But there is a trick how you can do it faster.

Often you have to catch several monsters of a certain type – but this is usually done quickly if you look around a little. Poni research, for example, requires some water monsters – you can easily do that while the water festival is still running.

You also have to take a snapshot of a water monster. Some trainers reported problems here, but there is an easy fix.

In addition, there are other tasks in the other research, such as sending gifts, victories in raids or collecting kilometers and hearts for your buddies. It’s not rocket science – you just need to keep an eye on the timing to secure the bonus research.
