Story of the Systren archipelago in video format
The peace on the idyllic high island is deceptive. After all, the Breton noble houses carry out bloody power struggles behind the scenes. Long ago, the inhabitants of the Systren archipelago stood united against every threat to their island home. But the islands drifted apart under the rule of contracting Breton noble houses, and now a new, enigmatic order is rising from the shadows of the islands.
In the video below, you’ll learn more about the history of the Systren and those who oppose the rising threat before you experience it for yourself in the upcoming TESO Chapter, The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle.
The Order of the Aspiring Ones
The main story of “High Isle” is again about a conspiracy. This time, however, we are not dealing with a sinister Daedra cult, but with a seedy order of knights, the Order of the Upstart, which threatens the peace and security of High Island. The head of this renegade group is the Rising Lord, a mysterious force that seeks to usurp an ancient legacy.
For the authors of the story of “High Isle” it was extremely appealing to write an exciting story that is not about demons and all kinds of sinister creatures, but about simple mortals who can steer the fate of Tamriel just like a born and bred daedra lord. According to Rich Lambert, the mysterious aspiring prince is not a classic villain, but a gray eminence who pursues his own political goals on the high island. And who knows, maybe one or two heroes will even want to side with the ominous prince.
