The Valiant: New action-strategy game announced
THQ Nordic and developer Kite Games have announced a new action-strategy game, The Valiant.
The focus of the story is the knight Theoderich von Akenburg and his former brother-in-arms Ulrich. The latter is obsessed with acquiring a mystical relic called the Staff of Aaron.
A bloody crusade
To get the staff, he starts a bloody crusade. This is exactly what Theodoric tries to prevent by gathering companions around him.
The title is described as an action-packed real-time strategy game with RPG elements that aims to bring a breath of fresh air to the genre. “The focus is on tactical skirmishes between smaller units of troops rather than battles between entire armies or building a base,” it says.
Your decisions should matter both on and off the battlefield. Before operations, you put together your squad including equipment and can improve the skills of the heroes.
Aside from the campaign, there is a cooperative and a competitive multiplayer mode. You can also prove yourself in the Last Man Standing mode with a maximum of four participants against ever-stronger opponents.
The Valiant is scheduled for release on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
