Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is said to be closer to Blackout than Warzone was

A leak brings new details to Call of Duty: Warzone 2. The Warzone successor is said to have more in common with Blackout than Warzone had.

Back to the roots

On Tuesday, NeroCinema released a Video with information about Call of Duty: Warzone 2. The leak was shared and confirmed by recognized industry insider Tom Henderson on Twitter.

According to the YouTuber’s leak, the biggest change in Warzone 2 is related to the loadouts. Allegedly, it will be more difficult to acquire the equipment for the loadouts, since they will be placed in new POIs, which will probably be called “Strongholds” in Warzone 2.

“There will be a number of them,” says NeroCinema in his video. “You infiltrate a building and you have to do different things depending on your base. Sometimes you have to defuse a bomb, kill the AI and then you have access to your loadout.”

Features from the original CoD battle royale

Warzone 2 is also set to inherit many features from the franchise’s original battle royale, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout. Such as armor that requires a pouch to be equipped. This inventory system should also only be able to carry a limited number of weapons and equipment.

The new Warzone 2 maps are said to contain locations from older parts of the franchise. NeroCinema speaks of a sight based on the multiplayer map Highrise.

Activision is also said to be installing a shooting range that will finally allow players to test the damage and recoil of their weapons in advance.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is scheduled to be unveiled later this year.
