Minecraft: Influencer is said to have abused women – Now sells his YouTube channels for over €920,000

Adam “Sky Does Everything” Dahlberg or better known as “SkyDoesMinecraft” has been accused of abusing, cheating and lying to women. Furthermore, friends and advertising partners describe him as toxic. Now the former YouTube star for Minecraft is selling his channels.

Danger: The article contains sensitive topics such as physical and psychological abuse of humans and animals. If you are not good at dealing with such topics, better avoid this news.

Who is the YouTuber?

  • When Minecraft was all the hype in 2011/2012, SkyDoesMinecraft jumped on the bandwagon and mainly produced mod showcases for the block game. He does not rely on seriousness, but on wit and entertainment.
  • He was able to attract 1 million subscribers within two years, that was in January 2013. In June 2014 he had 10 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. This made it the first major Minecraft channel on YouTube and one of the most successful gaming channels on the platform.
  • Dahlberg renamed himself Sky Does Everything because he no longer just wanted to cover Minecraft, but also other games.
  • He owns 2 other YouTube channels: Sky VS Gaming where he posted various gaming videos and Nobody Records. There he uploaded vlogs and music videos. All 3 YouTube channels are currently inactive and no longer recorded.

SkyDoesMinecraft is said to have done terrible things

What is the YouTuber supposed to have done? His ex-girlfriends, ex-colleagues and companies mostly commented on Twitter about the YouTube star. First and foremost Elizabeth, who published a Twitter thread accusing SkyDoesMinecraft of many terrible things:

  • Physical and psychological violence, abuse.
  • Used Elizabeth’s money to fund his drug addiction.
  • Tortured his own dog, made him drink sweet soda, almost freeze to death outside and live in the dirty kennel.
  • Manipulated Elizabeth into pregnancy and nearly into marriage.
  • Psychotic episodes of not being himself, wanting to kill people and screaming.

Elizabeth has also reported the alleged crimes to the police. According to her own statements, she escaped from the common house because her father picked her up by car.

SkyDoesMinecraft is selling 2 of its YouTube channels

What was the last thing the YouTuber did? About 4 weeks ago there was a little sign of life from SkyDoesMinecraft and two of Dahlberg’s YouTube channels were listed on FameSwap.com and are up for sale for the following amounts:

  • Sky VS Gaming with 1.29 million subscribers for €71,208.75 ($75,000) (via FameSwap.com).
  • Sky Does Everything hits 11.2 million subscribers for €854,505 ($900,000) (via FameSwap.com).

The idea is apparently that you buy the channels, all content is deleted and you can then remarket and raise the channel under a different name.

The seller’s name is “Skysellsstuff” and has been registered since April 15, 2022. According to the FameSwap ad, the user actually owns the channels, which has been verified.

What is FameSwap.com? On the site, content creators can sell their channels, which have already been able to generate a certain amount of reach. You can purchase Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube channels there.

Is this allowed? Not really. YouTube’s policy is against selling a channel that’s cleared for monetization. So it can very well be that the future buyer of the SkyDoesMinecraft channel will be blocked directly if he uses the channel.

The community is shocked and cancels the YouTuber

What is the community saying? The YouTuber j aubrey has produced an informative video on the subject, in which he takes up more detailed information about SkyDoesMinecraft and examines the allegations from several sides:

Also, 3 months ago, SkyDoesMinecraft posted a poll in the community tab on his YouTube channel, but everywhere there are only accusations, shocked and sad news from his former fans:

  • “It’s funny how some of us ‘flee’ abuse by watching our favorite YouTuber – the person who could do no wrong and always made us laugh. It’s even funnier when the person you looked up to so much becomes the very person you feared the most.”
  • “We all looked up to you, man. When we were kids you were our hero. And seeing and reading these pathetic things breaks my heart. For being able to do that to so many people who considered you a friend.”
  • “Man, I loved you as a kid. The crap you did is inexcusable. And I’m not even sad or anything, I’m just really angry. There’s a slim chance this is all fake, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it were all true.”

Many users shared their stories in the comments and are shocked by what the YouTube star was accused of. Nevertheless, the majority believes the statements of the ex-girlfriends and colleagues. Few voices maintain that the accusations are not true and that their idol is innocent – screenshots and the “evidence” can be faked.
