We’re kicking off 2022 with a reboot of the PC games announced for this year and years to come. As always, the list lives on user feedback. Is a game missing from the table? Then write it to us in the comments and we will incorporate the games promptly. Thank you as always for your cooperation.
As in recent years (see following pages), PCGH also offers a constantly expanding list of PC games that have been announced for 2022 and later or that are expected to appear in these years. Especially at the beginning of the year, the quality of the statements on such a list is considerably worse than during the course of the year. Therefore, the prospects for the second half of the year are still very manageable at the moment. Not all release dates of the PC games 2022 can be met, sometimes there are also short-term changes in dates. We ask that you take this into account.
In general, 2022 will show what was already apparent in previous years: there are fewer and fewer announced large-scale productions and there are more and more postponements. There are also a number of well-known early access titles, some of which have been developed over years and are still very popular. A development end of Valheim or Satisfactory is not in sight. So far you will find more than 50 games for 2022 or later in our list, some of which already have a fixed date. Big names like Diablo 4, Starfield, Elex 2, Stalker 2 or Elden Ring have potential for the top 10 best PC games 2022/2023.

This number of innovations will increase significantly in the coming weeks and months, for example when game fairs such as the streams in June or Gamescom 2022 have taken place. Of course, the list also grows with further new announcements, game release delays and your reports – because we can by no means claim to know about all upcoming games.

All game releases at a glance: Here you will find the current version of the release list of all PC games that have been announced for 2022 or later or at least have a certain chance of being released in the current or next year. General information: The entries marked in red usually document changes, completely new games are marked accordingly. PC games marked in green have already been published. A distinction is made between early access and final release. We also indicate in the list whether a game is only sold in certain shops and what type of game it is if it is not a “regular” release (expansion, remake/remaster, season pass). With this we want to increase the usefulness of the list.
