Simon the Sorcerer Origins: Prequel surprisingly announced, see the first teaser

The well-known adventure series Simon the Sorcerer gets a new part.

Simon the Sorcerer Origins is a prequel from developer Smallthing Studios and publisher Leonardo Interactive.

Classic and modern

The goal of the developers is to combine the classic style of adventures with a modern gameplay and graphic style in Simon the Sorcerer Origins.

In the prequel, you see Simon as a rebellious teenager. After he gets expelled from school, his parents have to move. This begins a series of maddening events “connecting far-flung locations in time and space (aka ‘forced plot development’), in a magical world controlled by powerful (but mostly useless) wizards and strange creatures”.

Of course, during your adventure you will solve different types of puzzles, comedy and magic. You look for clues and objects, combine them and try to become a reasonably good magician.

On Steam, March 28, 2023 is already mentioned as the release date for Simon the Sorcerer Origins. The adventure is to be released for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
