Diablo Immortal: The Classes in the Ranking – You will play this at the release
The new Diablo Immortal will be released on June 2nd. We at MeinMMO wanted to know from our readers which classes they start the adventure with. You have voted and we present the result to you.
That’s what it was about: We at MeinMMO asked you which class you will start with in Immortal. At the time of the dissolution on May 20, 2,128 people took part in the vote.
Together with you, we are now using the survey to rank the classes that you will play. Spoiler: One class, by a wide margin, won the poll.

6th place – Monk
- Weapons: fists and sword
- Range: melee
- Votes: 244 (11.47%)
The monk can do this: The monk is a holy warrior and master of martial arts. He relies on lightning fast punches with his fist and offers a lot of mobility. This allows him to jump between enemies and throw them backwards.
His abilities include the fists of thunder, with which you teleport to an enemy and cover them with a variety of blows.
The Monk is for you if you want to play a melee fighter that deals a lot of damage but can also take a little damage.
5th place – Barbarian
- Weapons: Axe, Hammer and Sword
- Range: melee
- Votes: 300 (14.10%)
The barbarian can do this: Barbarians are muscle-bound warriors who stand in the middle of the fray with their huge axe. They lash out at enemies and can pull them together with abilities like Chained Spear. This makes it easy for magicians in particular to bomb away opponents with AoE.
Her attacks include Lacerate, a blow that deals damage on hit and heals the barbarian. This is important, because in the middle of the enemies you constantly take damage and have to endure a lot.
So if you like to be in the middle of the action and don’t have a problem getting your nose in at the front, then the Barbar is the right place for you.
4th place – Crusader
- Weapons: Sword, Mace and Shield
- Range: melee
- Votes: 322 (15.13%)
The Crusader can: Crusaders are holy warriors who rely on both faith and strong armor. In battle, they use a large blade and a shield to block attacks.
Crusaders base their punish attack on damage, but at the same time increase their chances of blocking. They also have abilities that make them or allies invulnerable.
If you want to play a classic melee fighter with high armor and holy spells, the Crusader is the right choice.
3rd place – Demon Hunter
- Weapon: crossbow, bow and quiver
- Range: ranged
- Votes: 329 (15.47%)
The demon hunter can: Demon hunters are bitter avengers who have made it their goal to eliminate enemies, sometimes from very great distances. They are well trained and very skill based fighters.
Her main attacks include the Crossbow Shot and the Explosive Shot. The latter explodes on impact, dealing AoE damage. You can also get this from attacks like Rain of Vengeance and Multishot.
So if you like to be a long-distance DD, the demon hunter is the right choice for you.
2nd place – magician
- Weapons: two-handed staff, one-handed staff and bullets
- Range: ranged
- Votes: 371 (17.43%)
The magician can: The sorcerers rely on the arcane power with which they can eliminate enemies. They are burned to ashes or frozen. The elements play an important role here.
Wizards can drop huge meteors from the sky or use teleport to move to an entirely different location. Her primary attack is a Magic Missile, which in Ultimate form can also slow enemies with Frost Magic.
So if you play a magician, you have a penchant for magic and a lot of damage, but you have to be careful because they are weak melee fighters.
Rank 1 – Necromancer
- Weapons: Scythe, one-handed staff and shield
- Range: melee and ranged
- Votes: 562 (26.42%)
The Necromancer can: Necromancers are lords of death, capable of resurrecting defeated enemies as skeletons. They have set themselves the goal of maintaining the balance of the world and therefore take on the strongest enemies.
While throwing bone spears at enemies with their primary attack, they can otherwise summon skeleton mages or rotten golems from already defeated enemies, or shatter their corpses in a huge explosion.
So if you like having the undead by your side and want to support them with skills and magic, you can’t go wrong with the Necromancer.
