When will there be news about the remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic?

Soon! At least that’s to be expected “in the next few months”.

Saber support

At least that’s what Matthew Karch, CEO and founder of Saber Interactive, says during the Q4 report from Embracer Group, which owns remake developer Aspyr Media.

He also reveals that Saber Interactive will assist Aspyr in developing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake. The game will “basically” be completely redeveloped.

More Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic news:

“Aspyr went above and beyond to make the best game they can make,” he says (via Push Square). “When we acquired Aspyr, we knew from the start that they would need our support. Saber has tremendous experience developing these types of products. We did it at Halo – on several Halo products – we have it on other titles that we’ve re-released on other platforms.”

“We are convinced that the game will be fantastic, but it’s a huge product and huge products take a lot of effort and a lot of time to get good. Especially when it’s a game that’s already old – very old – we basically had to develop the game from scratch. I’d say we’ll be hearing more about that over the next few months.”

A release date for the remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has not yet been set. First off, it’s coming to PC and PlayStation 5.
