Over 1,000 euros for a gaming chair: This is how Thermaltake is trying to find a new target group
The high-priced gaming chair Thermaltake Argent E700 has been on the market for some time. Now the manufacturer points out that the premium chair is not only suitable for players.
The Thermaltake Argent E700, which was created in cooperation with the design agency Studio FA Porsche, was released last autumn and is said to score points for 1,300 euros with a striking design in different colors and a high level of comfort. In a new announcement the manufacturer is now highlighting that the premium chair, which is not exactly cheap, is not only for players, but also for artists, musicians and basketball players.
Under the slogan “Be witness to a new dawn”, the Thermaltake Argent E700 is presented in a new light by three people from the respective industry and the manufacturer’s commitment to rising stars is emphasized. According to Thermaltake, the three different personalities with their professions represent the “master craftsmanship, the interdisciplinary creativity and the stable spiritual power” of Thermaltake products. As a partner, we therefore want to continue to be active and look forward to supporting other partners.
While tests and field reports on the Thermaltake Argent E700 are quite rare online, the key data of the chair were already shown when it was announced last year. Basically, it is a construction of a bucket seat with leather, aluminum and also plastic as well as red contrasting stitching and a glossy surface in six colors. The chair also has “racing car side handles” and an adjustable backrest that can be locked in four different angles.

Apart from the choice of material, the design, which certainly contributes significantly to the price, also received a Red Dot Design Award for 2022. Meanwhile, there is the Thermaltake Argent E700 versus the higher one Pricing in the manufacturer’s online shop (1,163.90 to 1,259.90 euros) in the PCGH price comparison, depending on the choice of colour from 999.70 eurosbut also up to 1,299 euros.
