Will The Forest 2: Sons of the Forest come to PS4/PS5?
The Forest 2: Sons of the Forest is still a long time coming. It was only recently announced that the release of the long-awaited survival game will be postponed from May 2022 to October. But which platforms is Sons of the Forest coming to and will there also be a PS4 and Xbox One, as well as a PS5 and Xbox Series S/X version?

That’s what it’s about: The Forest belongs to the most exciting and popular survival games out there. We crash on a desert island, our son is kidnapped and as if that wasn’t bad enough, we get it too nasty cannibals to do who want to get at us. Because the concept worked so well, it should soon a successor called “Sons of the Forest”.

When is The Forest 2 coming? Originally, the survival game should have been released a long time ago, but so far nothing has come of the release dates. The last became postponed from May 2022 to October. A more precise date does not yet exist. But that’s what it’s for Steam page now online and you can make a note of “Sons of the Forest” or put it on your wish list:

Announced only for PC so far: The hard truth for anyone waiting for a Sons of the Forest version for their consoles: So far it doesn’t look like one is coming. Sons of the Forest was officially announced solely for the PC. There is currently no trace of a PS4, Xbox, PS5 or Xbox Series S/X version.
How are the chances? With the predecessor “The Forest” there was initially only talk of a PC release. But later there was still another one PS4 version submitted later. It doesn’t have to be that way, but of course there’s a chance of that happening with “Sons of the Forest”. Possibly we come later still enjoy one PS5 or Xbox Series S/X version. But you should definitely not hope for a simultaneous release.
