Lord of the Rings Gollum: Release already on September 1st

For a long time it was quiet about The Lord of the Rings: Gollum by Daedalic. Now the developers have spoken out again and published an FAQ via Steam that answers a whole range of questions that fans have been piling up lately. The developers finally announced the release window.

In the FAQ, the developers explain that the current goal is to publish The Lord of the Rings: Gollum in autumn 2022. Just a few days after the FAQ was published, September 1st was given as the date. In addition, the developers want to provide more details about the gameplay of the game soon. Until then, the team will continue to work on the quality of the game. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will also be released as a physical version. The announced platforms of the game are PC, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The system requirements for the PC version have not yet been determined and will also be announced at a later date. A collector’s edition is not planned, but the team is working on a digital deluxe edition of the game.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is an action-adventure game with stealth and platformer elements. As a work, it is unrelated to any other film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings. So the game ties into the story as told in the books. The development team wants to present the untold story of Gollum.
