One Piece takes a wano hiatus and starts new mini-arc for One Piece Red movie

The One Piece anime apparently also incorporates the latest cinema film into its own runtime. As with the last cinema films, there should also be some episodes as a kind of prelude and preparation for the Red film. The current Wano Arc should then pause for a short time. Fans are now debating whether that’s a good thing in general and whether it could help the anime series’ pacing.

Another mini arc for the movie?

What’s the matter? A completely new anime film, One Piece RED, is set to hit theaters soon. It tells a story that is probably only very indirectly related to the current events of the actual anime series. Nevertheless, there are now rumors that the anime is working towards it again this time.

It could look like this: When the new One Piece movie is coming up, some extra episodes should be built into the anime series again. They may then serve as a kind of guide to the film. For this, the normal plot or the Wano arc should pause briefly and the mini arc for the cinema film would take its place.

Not official yet: Before you get excited or annoyed too soon, let me tell you that it will be a while before we know if this is really the case. Maybe that’s not true, but maybe we’ll get the announcement in July. That doesn’t seem unrealistic, because that’s how it always went with the last One Piece movies.

Discuss fans: In addition to the question of what exactly we can expect in a corresponding intermediate story arc of the One Piece anime, many fans are primarily concerned with the effects of such a decision. The basic tenor that prevails is that the pacing of the anime series would certainly be good if it had more material available and presented more content in individual episodes. Such a break could at least partially achieve this.

How do you feel about such intermediate arcs? Do you like it or would you rather do without it?
