Gigabyte Aorus Project Stealth: Invisible cables at Gigabyte

from Maximilian Hohm
The trend is increasingly towards perfectly illuminated PCs that can stand on the desk and should therefore look their best. Of course, the cables required for operation interfere with this. But Gigabyte and MSI have now developed suggested solutions for this as well. So read below about Gigabyte’s new Project Stealth, which is supposed to do without visible cables.

A PC build stands and falls not only with functionality but also with the look. The built-in hardware can consist of no matter how high-quality components, but if there are yellow-red power supply cables in between that look like foreign bodies, the entire RGB immersion that you paid for when you bought the hardware will be ruined. Although this problem can be solved at relatively low prices with custom cables, those who find the color-coordinated cables too much have had few options up until now.

Now, in addition to MSI, Gigabyte also offers a solution to such problems. At MSI, it operates under the name “Project Zero”, while Gigabyte speaks of “Project Stealth”. However, Gigabyte offers more coordinated components that, when assembled, conceal the remaining necessary cables very well. The corresponding components are labeled “Stealth” at Gigabyte. So far there is a mainboard with connections installed on the back and rotated by 90°, the Aorus Elite Stealth for Intel’s LGA1700 socket.

There is also the Geforce RTX 3070 Gaming OC Stealth and the Aorus C300G Stealth case. In this way, Gigabyte can coordinate the components and adjust them so that as few cables as possible are visible. However, the term “stealth” does not seem to have been taken too precisely, since all components still have RGB lighting that can be controlled via RGB fusion. None of the new stealth components are listed in the PCGH price comparison and the RRP is not yet known either. However, more information can be expected in the course of Computex 2022.
