The Callisto Protocol: New Screenshots Reminiscent of Dead Space, Cross-Gen Confirmed

There are a few new screenshots for The Callisto Protocol from developer Striking Distance Studios and Krafton.

They bring back memories of Dead Space. But that’s not surprising, because Glen Schofield, then General Manager of Dead Space developer Visceral Games, is behind it.

Spooky sci-fi vibes

The new images, seen on Twitter, aren’t the best resolution, but they do give an indication of where The Callisto Protocol is headed. And she looks familiar.

More news on The Callisto Protocol:

At the same time, there are also a few new details about the game. Accordingly, The Callisto Protocol remains on track for a 2022 release and is said to be a cross-gen title.

There is both melee and ranged combat, the monstrous creatures in the game are called Biophages.

The main character is called Jacob and can pull things to himself with a skill called GRP. It all sounds a lot like Dead Space. But hey, I definitely don’t mind a new game of this nature.

If the 2022 release window proves true, we should definitely be hearing more from The Callisto Protocol soon.

“Set on Jupiter’s moon Callisto in the year 2320, The Callisto Protocol offers a next-generation survival horror experience,” reads the official website.” The game challenges players to escape from the Black Iron maximum-security prison and become his terrifying mysteries. Combining horror, action and a compelling story, it aims to redefine the horror genre in interactive entertainment.”
