The two versions of the PCG 06/22

On June 2, 2022, the action role-playing game Diablo Immortal will be released for Android and iOS. At the same time, the go-ahead is given for the open beta of the PC version. However, some fans see the release with mixed feelings counter: Because although it is basically a Free2Play game, it will numerous microtransactions give. These harbor the danger of influencing the balance too much. A valid concern? The developer studio has now again done this BlizzardEntertainment voiced.

Here’s what Blizzard says about Diablo Immortal’s microtransactions

With the help of microtransactions you can buy certain currencies, a second track in the Battle Pass and buy various boosters, which guarantee you, among other things, rewards in Rifts or one accelerate progress.

Hence the concern of some fans regarding a any imbalance not entirely unfounded. However, principal designer Joe Grubb from Blizzard Entertainment wants to calm down in conversation with the colleagues from PCGamesN, because the microtransactions would never the core gameplay bypass.

“A lot of conversations have centered around our philosophy on this. The optional purchases are always just a bonus, but they never bypass the core gameplay. You still need a certain level of skill to play your class. You still need to know how you play a barbarian to succeed as a barbarian. (…) One of our tenets is ‘the best way to become more powerful in Diablo Immortal is to play the game’.”
