Making whetstones & locations in V Rising – Guide

Without one whetstone you will in the survival title V Rising not get far. It is not for nothing that this is a particularly important item that you should have in your bag at all times. But first you should know how to make it or at least where to find whetstones in the game world.

V Rising – Locations of the whetstones

Let’s start with the different localities of whetstones in V Rising. We recommend exploring the map in wolf form. Both yellow-marked zones include bandit camps. Here you will often find the sharpening stones you are looking for.

It is best to move your mouse over these zones to display the items available there. Once in one of these camps, you should keep an eye out for chests or other containers. There is usually such a whetstone in it.

If your character is still quite weak at the beginning of “V Rising”, it is advisable to search for the whetstones. Do you have Item level 27 reached, you could finally start crafting the stones.

Manufacture of whetstones

The second option is to craft whetstones in V Rising. As a basic requirement and in order to receive the corresponding recipe, you must first have the Armorer Grayson defeat. Only then will the manufacture of whetstones be unlocked.

The enemy you are looking for is in the Bandit Armory in the Farbane Forest. Look at the marked spot on our map:

Craft Grindstones: Build Furnace

Now that you’ve unlocked the grindstone recipe, you should have one in your castle furnace to build. For this you need a total of full 480 bricks and 60 copper ore. Also, you should throw 12x Stone Dust and 1x Copper Ingot into the brew. After about a minute, you will finally get the whetstone you want.

Craft Furnace:

• 480x bricks
• 60x copper ore
• 12x stone dust
• 1x copper bar
