Skyrim: New Mod provides enormously detailed landscapes

Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is now more than ten years old and is still being played and modded by loyal fans.

This is also shown by a new mod called “SNRP Landscapes”, which clearly beautifies the landscapes of the open-world role-playing game.

New coat of paint for Skyrim

The “Skurkbro” mod replaces the landscape textures in Skyrim with high-resolution versions that ultimately make the game look much better.

This makes Skyrim’s game world look more defined and sharper, certainly more handsome than what the original version has to offer these days.

The whole thing is a continuation of “Skurkbro’s Nextgen Retexture Project”, in addition to the world of Skyrim, Solstheim from Dragonborn and Soul Cairn from Dawnguard are also covered.

Provides a prettier environment in Skyrim.

According to Skurkbro, you can basically use SNRP Landscapes without any other mods, but he recommends using the Blended Roads mod. However, you should not combine terrain parallax textures with other textures that do not support terrain parallax.

“The screenshots may look a little flat,” writes Skrukbro. “That’s because I’m working with a freshly installed version that I haven’t configured yet.”
