Connect AirPods to Windows PC: Here’s how
Apple AirPods and Windows 10 – do they actually go together? Yes, you can connect Apple wireless headphones to a PC via Bluetooth. In the following instructions we will explain how to do this in Windows 10.
Unusual for Apple, the AirPods not only work with iPhone, iPad and Co., but also with Android smartphones and even Windows computers. The prerequisites have to be right for this: In any case, you need a laptop or Windows PC with Bluetooth. While many laptops already have Bluetooth installed from the factory, PCs sometimes have to be retrofitted with wireless technology. All you need is a small USB plug that makes your computer fit for Bluetooth. This is available in stores and online for just a few euros.
Turn on Bluetooth and put Apple AirPods in pairing mode
First, make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your Windows 10 PC. If this is not the case, you can switch on Bluetooth via the info center in the taskbar using the corresponding button. So that your Windows PC can Apple AirPods can find at all, you must first activate the coupling mode, also known as pairing, of your AirPods. Now put your AirPods in the corresponding charging case and open the lid. To activate the pairing mode now, you have to press the setup button on the back of the case until the white light starts flashing.

Select and connect Apple AirPods in Windows 10
Now select “Connect” via the info center in the Windows 10 taskbar to connect the computer to the AirPods. If everything went well, you will now see AirPods in the “Connect” window of Windows 10. Now click on the corresponding entry with the AirPods to establish a connection between them and your computer.
After the one-time pairing, you can now connect your AirPods quickly and easily at any time via your computer’s info center. You can also use playback and speaking functions with your AirPods on a Windows PC, but not the voice assistant Siri, which can only be used on Apple devices.
