Netflix & Co.: Our streaming tips for June 2022
The major streaming providers bring us a veritable tidal wave of content in June. The Boys, Season 3 (June 3, Amazon Prime)

The fans have been waiting for the third season of The Boys for a long time, now it’s finally here. The trailers promise even more chaos and madness than the previous episodes. New superheroes are at the start with Soldier Boy and Crimson Countess, Homelander is losing his nerve more and more and Billy Butcher gets temporary superpowers. Template for season 3 is the boys comic book “Herogasm”, the heaviest of the series.
Ms. Marvel (June 8, Disney+)
The Marvel series Ms. Marvel is clearly aimed at a younger audience. It stars Kamala Kahn, a shy teenage girl who adores Captain Marvel. When she suddenly gets super powers, she wants to emulate her idol, but quickly realizes that problems at school cannot always be solved even with super powers. By the way: Ms. Marvel is Marvelcomic’s first Muslim superhero.
The Spider Head (June 17 / Netflix)
In the meantime, he has proven that Chris Hemsworth can do more than just playing Thor in the MCU films. In The Spider’s Head he shows a completely new facet: the villain. In the film adaptation of the short story “Escape from Spiderhead,” Hemsworth plays a scientist who, in the near future, administers drug cocktails to convicts to test their reaction. All in the service of humanity, of course. Of course, this can’t end well.
The Umbrella Academy, Season 3 (June 22 / Netflix)

After the big cliffhanger in Season 2, the Umbrella Academy members meet their Sparrow Academy counterparts in an alternate future. The question is all the more important: How do they get back into their own reality? And do they even want that?
Westworld, Season 4 (June 27, Sky Ticket)
Self-driving cars, bees living inside androids, and familiar characters walking around alive when they should be dead: the Westworld Season 4 trailer has a few surprises in store. What is it about? This has not yet been revealed, but the pictures that can be seen are apocalyptic. According to showrunner Jonathan Nolan, the final conflict between hosts and humans should come.
