One vampire achieved everything in V Rising - It took him that long

How much game time is actually in V Rising? A player has pretty much done everything there is to do in the game – despite playing on a PvP server. A remarkable achievement that takes a lot of time.

What does “everything achieved” mean? Of the reddit user mrdrpinhead shared his achievements, showing how he has all the soul shards on a PvP server and has 9 of his gear level 83 minions nurtured. He himself carries level 85 – the maximum in the game.

There are only 3 different splitters. You can have a maximum of 9 minions per player and equip them up to level 83. That said: mrdrpinhead has accomplished pretty much everything there is to do in V Rising.

The only thing we don’t know is if his blood bank is full. If he’s also locked up a 100% pure donor out of the 6 different blood types, there really isn’t much left for him to do except defend his achievements.

How long does something like this take? He himself gives his playing time as 88 hours. That means he’s been playing an average of about 9 hours a day since V Rising came out. However, you can also see in the picture that he was not alone, at least one other player is with him.

With 88 hours, he still achieved a decent playing time. The community keeps asking if V Rising is worth it, and the almost monotonous answer is, “That’s the best 20 bucks I’ve invested in a long time.”

mrdrpinhead’s performance is remarkable mainly because he’s playing on a PvP server, as he says himself. There are a few special rules there.

All done on a PvP server

Why is this such a great achievement? On PvP servers there are only three soul shards at all. These can be collected to grant 2-hour special buffs. To get them, you must defeat the toughest bosses in the game.

Then the fragment must be brought home. If you carry a shard, you are slower, cannot teleport, transform or ride. Any other player can easily take the splitter from you on a PvP server.

Once you’ve embedded a shard at home in the appropriate Eye of Twilight, every player on the server will see its location. So you have to defend your prey against greedy adversaries.

mrdrpinhead owns all 3 splitters at the same time. The only way for opponents to get these now is to take them from them. But since he’s obviously well equipped, that’s going to be difficult…

Can I have fun alone? On a private server or in pure PvE, you probably won’t need quite as long to achieve everything. After all, other players don’t make your life difficult.

Then again, vampires like mrdrpinhead are apparently also experienced survival players. If you take your time and enjoy the game, you will easily get on with your lessons. We’re currently playing 2-player co-op, and at around 40 hours, we’re about halfway through the game.

V Rising is still in development and currently in Early Access. On the map you can already see a previously inaccessible area that is sure to come. However, we do not yet know when it will continue.
