Gotham Knights reportedly forgoes Russian voice acting and subtitles

Warner Bros. is reportedly scrapping the Russian version of Gotham Knights. This means that the title should not have a Russian dubbing or Russian subtitles.

Warner Bros. says “Njet!” to the Russian version

The information comes from the page “The Happy Warrior“, citing sources at Warner Bros. Montreal, who are said to have confirmed that the publisher canceled the Russian version “due to the political implications of the Russian invasion of Ukraine”.

In line with this claim, the Russian website of Gotham Knights was taken offline. the URL now results in a 404 error. At the same time, there is no mention of support for the Russian language on Steam either. That fits a lot.

Warner Bros. has not officially commented on this. The Happy Warrior source says the company is too “terrified of upsetting the gaming press or causing trouble on social media”.

Gotham Knights will be released on October 25, 2022 for PC, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.
