[PLUS-TOPSELLER] Tuning for AM4 motherboards: Over 250 options explained in the Asus UEFI

UEFI Guide: Asus

Although mainboard manufacturers preconfigure many functions and features so that buyers do not lack anything, there is still all sorts of potential for optimization until the perfect configuration is achieved. Saving energy, security functions, network technologies or a quick system start: manual configuration instead of “auto” can be worthwhile, especially for features that are rarely required.

Matching the (short) ranking of the PCGH-AM4 mainboard test table, Asus can shine in part 3 of our series. This time, the Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi and a Ryzen R5 3600 are used in conjunction with the UEFI version “1201”. Processors from the Ryzen 9 3900X onwards would bring additional core settings and a few functions change when special components such as M.2 SSDs or expansion cards are installed. Overall, the look and options of our example system correspond to the UEFI functions of many other current models from the manufacturer. Only the range of features differs greatly depending on the price range.
