State of Play: Date for the next Playstation presentation known
The date for the next State of Play has been officially announced. This will be on Thursday 2 June 2022 from 11.59 p.m German time on youtube and Twitter transfer. This confirmed the suspicion of industry insider Jeff Grubb, who had predicted a state of play for the first week of June. Grubb also has Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 mentioned as a possible game that could be presented during the presentation.
What is shown?
Sony has already confirmed that third-party titles will be featured during State of Play. It remains to be seen whether this is actually Modern Warfare 2. In addition to third-party titles, games for the PlayStation VR2 to be shown. Just last week we reported on a rumor that the VR headset will have its own event in the near future.
The last regular State of Play took place in early March 2022 and brought with it numerous announcements, which we have summarized for you. There was also a separate state-of-play edition for Hogwarts Legacy shortly afterwards. In addition to the previous rumors about the State of Play in early June, there was also a message about a possible Playstation showcase in September. This has not yet been officially confirmed by Sony.
Will we see God of War: Ragnarok?
It is also questionable whether the blog post with which Sony announced the State of Play possibly excludes first-party announcements. First-party titles are not explicitly mentioned here. There would be particular with God of War: Ragnarok a very big title, which should come onto the market in 2022. However, there is no gameplay for the game yet. In any case, we remain curious to see what will be shown at the next State of Play.
