WoW Patch 9.2.5: More PvE damage for Weapon Warriors, PvP buff for Fury
There’s another batch of class balance adjustments coming to World of Warcraft’s heroes in WoW Patch 9.2.5. In principle, all three warrior specs are affected: tanks generate more threat, weapon warriors do a little more single target damage and fury is buffed in PvP. Here are the details for all you curious warriors out there!
Shortly before Release of WoW Patch 9.2.5 the developers of the online role-playing game have knocked out another set of class balance adjustments that will go live on June 1st, 2022 with the release of the update. These include, among other things, a Buff for the aggro of tanksa slight increase in the AoE damage for Beast Mastery Hunters as well as a small one Buff for the Arcane Mages between you. And the warriors are also being treated to a few changes: in PvE, the single-target damage of weapon warriors will be slightly increased, while in PvP there will be a small bug fix for fury warriors, which in turn could result in a small buff. Below are the juicy details.
WoW Patch 9.2.5 and several adjustments to the warriors
Apart from the poorly defined adjustment for all tank specializations (which also affects protection warriors) that they generate more threat in patch 9.2.5, the following changes are also coming:
weapons
- Mortal Strike damage increased by 10 percent. This change does not apply to PvP.
- Overpower damage increased by 10 percent. This change does not apply to PvP.
- Execute and Condemn (Venthyr) damage increased by 15 percent. This also affects protection warriors. This change does not apply to PvP.
Developer Notes: These changes aim to increase weapon single target damage without impacting the areas where they are already excellent.
furor
- Depths of Madness (Medium) effectiveness reduced by 50 percent in PvP.
- Battle Trance (PvP Talent) now generates 3 Rage (up from 5) every 3 seconds for 18 seconds after using Raging Blow on a target twice in a row.
Developer Notes: In patch 9.2.5, a bug was fixed where the PvP talent “Battle Trance” was not activated by the replacement spell of “Raging Blow” (“Smashing Blow”) of the talent “Recklessness”. The above changes aim to manage the effective buff Fury receives from this interaction.
