LoL: TSM boss is allowed to stay, but has to sit in detention – his intimate enemy spits poison and bile

League of Legends has been raging for a few months over Andy “Reginald” Dinh, the controversial boss of Team SoloMid. TSM is the biggest team in US LoL. Dinh was accused of poor treatment of his employees. An internal investigation has now cleared him of allegations made by former player Yilang “Doublelift” Peng. Doublelift spits its venom at the former boss on Twitter.

This is the situation:

  • The boss of TSM, Reginald, was a former professional himself, and within 12 years he turned a LoL fansite into one of the largest e-sports organizations in the world. However, in recent months, many players and key executives have left TSM.
  • One of his former players, Doublelift, accused Reginald in November 2021 that TSM’s demise was solely his fault. Reginald is a tyrant who has been beating down and beating down employees and players for years. Nobody wants to work for him anymore.
  • Based on these allegations and a few other incidents, Riot Games and TSM themselves launched an internal investigation into Reginald.

“Harsh and rough tone,” but allegations have not been confirmed

This is the result of TSM’s investigation: The company commissioned with the investigation has now presented its results. It spoke to 31 current or former employees of TSM and other Dinh companies (via drive).

In essence, Reginald is acquitted of the allegations. It is said that he often made comments in an “aggressive and rough” tone. However, most employees said it was related to people’s job performance, not to the employees themselves.

However, three witnesses testified that Reginald called employees “stupid”, “garbage” or “worthless”.

However, there were no sexist, racist statements or other harassment.

Boss has detention

What is the result now? Dinh is said to take part in “mandatory leadership coaching”. Other executives should also be coached. In addition, a hotline is to be set up through which employees can complain anonymously.

This is how Dinh reacts: The boss of TSM has released a kind of “half apology”. He says he got into a management role very early on, worked with friends for a long time and there was a lot of teasing.

He himself realizes that he cannot manage a large company in this way and wants to work on himself.

Dinh emphasizes that he never had bad intentions and underlines how far he has brought the company in recent years. Now he wants to face the new challenges.

Doublelift steps in.

This is how Doublelift reacts: Under Reginald’s statement, his intimate enemy, Doublelift, tweeted:

“Terrible person + you examined yourself + no friends + ratio”

Ratio means that people should like his tweet to show they are dissatisfied with Reginald’s statement:

  • Reginald’s statement received 1,340 likes
  • That of Doubleliftt 15,909 – more than ten times as much.

The sympathies seem clearly distributed. Though some in the comments comment that Reginald and Doublelift are a lot more alike than they’d probably like to admit.

Now that’s a new twist that Reginald is doing so lightly in TSM’s internal investigation. In early May, after a major report, the situation looked much bleaker. Ultimately, however, one must wait for the investigation by Riot Games:
