Supposedly you can play Diablo Immortal 1 day earlier – Here’s how
Diablo Immortal will be released on June 2nd for Android, iOS and PC. But what if you want to play earlier? Supposedly you can start a day before. However, fans doubt whether this is really possible.
When can I start playing? Diablo Immortal actually starts in Germany at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2nd, as Blizzard explained in a roadmap before the release. A preload is currently only available for the PC.
However, the Diablo YouTuber and expert jessirocks suspects that you can play up to a day earlier. That would be from Wednesday June 1st. His estimation is that you can get started between 8 and 12, maybe even 24 hours earlier.
jessirocks has been supporting Diablo, Path of Exile and other action RPGs with its content for many years. In the podcast with his colleagues from GameStar, he already spoke about Diablo Immortal, Diablo 4 and the genre in general.
According to jessirocks, the early access is related to the update cycle of the Apple and Google shops. These allegedly do not necessarily adhere to the release times of publishers. But does that work?
Play Diablo Immortal earlier? There’s a catch
How can I play earlier? To be able to play earlier, you must manually search your shop starting June 1st. Search for “Diablo Immortal” and see if you can already install the game:
Once you can install the game, you should, in theory, be able to play it. However, you need this an account on Battle.net. This must match the one on your PC if you want to cross-save your progress.
If you’re not looking for the game, you’ll simply get a notification at 19:00 on June 2nd that it’s now available. Incidentally, this does not work on the PC, the client will probably be the last to start. You can find everything about the release of Diablo Immortal in our info hub.
In the video you will find everything you need to know about Diablo Immortal in 3 minutes:
Is this really possible? In the comments of the video, some users doubt whether Diablo Immortal can be played earlier this way. Finally, an internet connection and Blizzard’s servers are required to play.
Exactly these servers are not online yet, the comments assume. So even if the game can be downloaded, you wouldn’t be able to log in at all. jessirocks itself emphasizes that it is an assumption and not a proven fact.
Whether it will ultimately work will only become apparent shortly before the release. However, if the servers do not go live until 7:00 p.m. sharp on June 2nd, you will at least have the option of preloading on iOS and Android. This saves you the time for the download and you can start right away with the release.
In any case, the online component will be extremely important for Diablo Immortal. The developers keep emphasizing that this is a real MMO and that social content is in the foreground. We were able to speak in detail with the game director and the executive producer in advance:
