With FIFA 23, EA’s last football game under the well-known name will be released this fall. Before EA Sports FC continues in 2023, there will be fundamental changes to the Ultimate Team mode again this year. At least if we can believe a leak that speaks of a completely turned chemistry system. We’ll tell you what the new FUT should look like.

This is how FUT mode could change in FIFA 23

The alleged leak comes from FIFA insiders weaver. Unfortunately, we don’t know where the information came from – and even if it’s correct, EA’s plans could still change before the launch in autumn. Nevertheless, the chemistry system presented sounds very interesting and should inspire some FUT fans.

How chemistry works in FUT: When creating a team in FIFA Ultimate Team, you need to pay attention to the chemistry between the players. Aspects such as the same nationality, a common club or a divided league have a positive influence on the teamwork. Each player can reach a chemistry score of 10, with 100 being the maximum for the team. If you achieve high chemistry, the stats of your kickers will improve.

It changes: The team chemistry should completely soften in the upcoming offshoot and make way for a system with stars. Three stars is the maximum and indicates that your team harmonizes perfectly. The nationalities or leagues of the individual players should no longer play a role in the rating. How the rating can be improved instead remains open. Maybe by having players fit well into a formation or by consistently playing games together.

Are the innovations good or bad? Even if we don’t know some details yet, at first glance the new system seems to have almost nothing but advantages. We can put together our teams more flexibly without the compulsion of leagues, clubs and nationalities. Especially cards from players who don’t play in the top 5 leagues finally get a better use.

What would you think of the new chemistry system?
