Buy PS5: PlayStation Direct with good prospects in June – situation on 01.06.

PlayStation Direct has emerged as a true replenishment guarantor and makes numerous PS5 hunters happy month after month. What does June bring?

Hamburg, Germany – While PlayStation Direct has been a staple of PS5 replenishment for months, the past two months have been particularly strong. Sony’s in-house PS5 sale in April and May totaled 6 drops – 3 each month. How are things going there in June?

When was the last time you could buy the PS5 from PlayStation Direct? As in April, there were a total of 3 Drops on PlayStation Direct in May – in the form of closed sales by invitation. The last action took place recently on May 27th, 2022. The new, official Horizon bundle was sold.

What is the current status of PS5 supplies on PlayStation Direct? There are currently no concrete signs of the first drop in June. That this comes, however, is considered bombproof. Because Sony has held at least one sale via Playstation Direct every month since the start of the service without exception. So not a single month went by without a drop.

Most recently, Sony also had the donating pants on in April and May, which was also noticeable in the drops at PS Direct. In both April and May there were not one, but 3 new sales campaigns each. Since Sony has now heralded June with a good supply of supplies at Amazon and OTTO, it is considered quite possible in the scene that in the still young, new month, fresh consoles will also be very generously replenished and that there will again be several at PS Direct actions could come.

In short: PlayStation Direct will almost certainly drop in June – the question is more when and how often. It might be worth staying vigilant as early as this week and keeping your eyes open for a potential invitation email from Sony. Because the invitation, including the link to the sale, is traditionally sent here by email.

Here’s how the PS5 purchase works with PlayStation Direct: If you want to get a PS5 via PlayStation Direct, you first have to register with PlayStation Direct with a PSN account register for sale – in advance of an action. A one-time registration should suffice and also apply to other actions at PS Direct, as long as you have not yet received an invitation from Sony. Once you have registered, all you have to do is wait and hope that you will be selected to participate.

As soon as the next PS Direct sale is due, Sony will inform randomly selected participants from the pool of registered accounts via email about the upcoming PS5 drop. This usually happens one day before the actual start of sales. If you have been selected and have received a corresponding email, then you can buy a PlayStation 5 directly from Sony on the specified date in peace and quiet (but a credit card or, more recently, PayPal is required for this).

In principle, PS Direct is nothing more than a closed, invitation-based direct purchase from Sony. Following the closed campaigns, an open sale was also held one or the other time, where all interested parties could take part without prior invitation (PSN account AND credit card or PayPal required). Unfortunately, lately we have been waiting in vain for it.

Can you increase the chances of success in PlayStation Direct? In short: no. It is still not known which criteria Sony uses when selecting participants for a PlayStation Direct sale. While it is suspected that this will be done at random and that loyal, active PlayStation users (such as those with a current PS Plus membership) will be favored, this is all pure speculation to this day. Solid facts are not available. Apart from registering with PlayStation Direct, you can’t do anything – as of now – that would noticeably increase the chances of an invitation.
