Bicycle fans should mark this period in their calendars: the 12th NRW cycle tour will take place from Thursday to Sunday, July 7th to 10th. WestLotto, NRW Foundation and WDR 4 invite you to this four-day trip along the Erft, Wurm and Rur. Registrations for day tours are now possible
The NRW cycle tour leads interested leisure cyclists through beautiful landscapes and places in North Rhine-Westphalia. The route covers a total of 245 kilometers. But if that’s too much for you or if you don’t have enough time: Registrations for day tours are now possible.
Key data for the stages
- Jülich – Mönchengladbach: Thursday, July 7th, approx. 52 km
- Mönchengladbach – Aachen: Friday, July 8th, approx. 75 km
- Aachen – Aachen: Saturday, July 9th, approx. 58 km
- Aachen – Jülich: Sunday, July 10th, approx. 61 km
The routes are fully signposted and accompanied by the police. Tour scouts from the General German Bicycle Club keep the entourage together and provide assistance if necessary. The German Red Cross provides medical care en route.
At all stage destinations, WDR 4 provides the crowning glory of a sporting day with live concerts (admission free). Important: The current hygiene regulations of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia apply to the NRW bike tour.
The entry fee for day visitors is 30 euros per person. Since the number of day participants is limited, every participant in the NRW Cycle Tour 2022 must register.
