LEGO: 3 new sets celebrating the Star Wars franchise

2022 is a good year for LEGO and star Wars. The joint video game project LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga achieved impressive sales figures and also on analog construction projects the galaxy far, far away is not lacking.

On the occasion of the start of the series Obi Wan Kenobi on May 27, 2022 two new sets join the portfolio of the Danish block manufacturer. But that too 20th Anniversary of Attack of Clones is celebrated with its own construction set.

Buildable Star Wars – LEGO is adding three new Star Wars building sets to its portfolio

Obi Wan Kenobi & Darth Vader (40547)

The BrickHeadz set offers perhaps the cutest Darth Vader of the LEGO “Star Wars” cooperation Obi Wan Kenobi & Darth Vader with the serial number 40547.

The two figures are 8 cm large and suitable for playing, but also for display thanks to the included building boards. Both block warriors are with one lightsaber equipped and count in total 260 items.

With a purchase price of 19.99 euros the BrickHeadz are the cheapest new release.

Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter (75333)

If Kenobi’s googly eyes are a bit too cute for you, you might be able to make do with his flying vehicle. Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter comes with the serial number 75333 and a recommended age of 7+.

The set includes 282 parts as well as the mini figures R4-P17, Obi Wan (including lightsaber, of course) and Taun Wewhile its design is based on Episode II “Attack of the Clones”.

The Starfighter impresses with fine details such as a hinged cockpit and retractable landing gear. Although these features are specifically designed to recreate the intergalactic adventures, the model is optionally available for display.

The Scythe – Grand Inquisitor’s Transport (75336)

The most complex building set among the new releases is The Scythe – the Grand Inquisitor’s transport ship with the serial number 75336 and 924 individuals.

The Black Starship features adjustable wings, shooter with spring mechanism as well as a ramp and if you open the cockpit, three minifigures can take a seat in it.

Speaking of minifigures: Invite to role play Ben Kenobi, the Grand Inquisitor, Reva and the Fifth Brother a; all equipped with a lightsaber. The weapons can also be conveniently clamped to the Scythe.

The model is 37cm long, 24cm wide and 14cm high. Just like the Starfighter, this good piece is suitable both for playing and for exhibiting.

The Scythe costs 99.99 euros and can also be pre-ordered.
